The OPEN STUDIO is offered as a time for individual students to work on a self-led yoga practice and have access to the slings, straps and props under monitored guidance. It is suggested that, even though the open studio times are not led by an instructor, each participant arrive at the start time in order to warm up and avail him or herself of the instructor for guidance.

This 3rd series of classes will include your basic warm-ups, prior to  approaching delicious, accessible-to-all inversions. We love inversions because they are supportive of the endocrine system, the health of the lymph system, and harmonizing brain and nervous systems. The beauty of wall supported and sling assisted inversions is that each practitioner might calibrate the intensity and duration of inverted poses and find ease in entering as well as exiting the upside-down positions.
 Every class culminates in a restorative wall savasana to relax and release more deeply.

DAWN SCHIEFERDECKER
Dawn is a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor, and is also certified by Jennifer Reis to lead Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® and by Alison West Founder and Director of The Yoga Union to instruct yoga with ropes and slings.
She spent 18 months training extensively with Lee Albert, and has completed professional-level certification in The Albert Protocol for Muscle Pain Relief™.  
Teachers include Alison West, Lee Albert, Jennifer Reis, Carollanne Crichton and Liza Dousson, which has enabled her to encourage others that yoga is not only possible for every human being, with regular practice it reunites life with balance.
