PURE YOGA: LEVEL 1 Iyengar Style Yoga PURE YOGA: LEVEL 2 is a flowing vinyasa practice which may include some longer held standing poses, arm balances, inversions and backbends.LEVEL 2 is an evolving practice of Yoga that uses the Vinyasa, or sun salute, to link poses and "counter poses" to help open the body and create a flow of movement and energy in the body. The cultivation of steadiness (strength) and inner poise (flexibility) reflects this hatha yoga philosophy. Level 2 Yoga Flow classes can be both athletic and meditative.Continuing/Deeper - For the ongoing practice that continues to develop. PURE YOGA: LEVELS 1 + 2: offers a combination of Iyengar style mat work with slow, calm vinyasa flows, as practice for all levels of yoga experience. POLICIES Pre Registration for the 10 week series is strongly recommended. Classes are kept small to insure ample personal attention and fill with priority given to card holders, then on a first -come - first - served basis. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to set up your space. We cannot reserve or hold a spot for anyone, so please do not call from your car on the way to class requesting a reservation. PRICING: ....................special 2 week introductory rate................ May 5 - May 20 ................................$16 per class drop-in Fragrance+ Perfume: Classes are fragrance, incense and perfume free out of respect for allergies and certain sensitivities. Thank you for refraining from wearing perfume to yoga class.
Late Arrivals: Late arrivals may not be accomodated in some classes. There will be a note on the studio entrance indicating that, if you are late to class, and if there are still spaces open, to please wait outside the door until meditation is completed and you see bodies in motion. This is respectful to those students in meditation who have arrived on time.
Early Departures: If you know in advance that you will leave class before it ends, please tell the instructor so that you may be positioned in such a way as not to disrupt the rest of class as you leave. You will be asked to quietly leave before the final relaxation pose and meditation begin, and to quietly roll up your mat and gather your belongings outside of the classroom. About the Instructor:
Carollanne Crichton LMT AyT received her first Yoga Teacher Certification from Kripalu Yoga Center in 1978. Since then, she has received numerous Yoga Teacher Trainings from: Richard Freeman, Erich Schiffmann, Donna Farhi, Sarah Powers, Cheri Clampett, Paul Grilley and Arturo Peal. Carollanne is also a licensed massage therapist in private practice full-time since 1989. |
