VATA
VATA Massage Oil
is in the family of herbal plant medicines called "nervines".
A nervine is nutritive and stabilizing.
The herbs used are also warming to the joints and deeply nutritive for Vata’s dry skin.
Properties are enhanced when combined with steam compresses, sauna or heated stones

Use this dripless version of our Vata Massage oil in your bodywork especially to relieve overstimulation in the central nervous system as well as along the entire spine, around the hip joints and all joints in general. .
Also, works well in Pada Abhyanga (Foot massage) and applied to the marma points of the face, scalp and temples.
For self care, we recommend rubbing some Vata Balm over the abdomen and the back of the neck for a deep, restorative nights’ sleep.

PITTA
PITTA Massage Oil
is a calming, cooling and gently diffusing formula.
The herbs and oils in this formula quiet the elemental "fire" traveling between the blood and the muscles, as well as the expression of internal heat in the head, scalp, and eyes.
Ingredients: organic unrefined sesame oil (50%) organic sunflower oil (25%) and organic coconut oil (25%)  triple infused with Ayurvedic herbs: Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry), Brahmi, Ela (cardamom), Jatamamsi (nardo), Shatavari (asparagus racemosus) and Western herbs: Bergamot, Coriander, Fennel, Lemon, Lemongrass, and Neroli Orange Flower Blossom
Store in cool dark location. Do not introduce water into the oil.
Possible Phyto-Estrogen caution due to Shatavari. Consult your healthcare provider. 

PITTA MASSAGE BALM
An Adaptation of our Pitta Thailam Oil
Pitta is a very dynamic, upward, and outward expression of energy. It is primarily hot, and can be excessive or inflamed. It’s overall quality might feel like being in a pressure cooker.
This formula quiets and calms Pitta’s intensity via inhalation, by way of the aromatic nature of the herbs and flowers used in making this balm.
White flowers are known to sweeten and pacify the rising intensity of the fire element.
Brahmi is also expansive to the brain.
Use this dripless version of our Pitta Massage oil in massage therapy, especially to relieve muscular tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back. Also, works well in Pada abhyanga (Foot massage) and applied to the marma points of the face, scalp and temples.

KAPHA
KAPHA Massage Oil offers a synergy of decongesting, astringent, diaphoretic and warming compounds that work transdermally to benefit every cell, organ and system via these energy channels.
Specifically, Kapha Massage Oil aids in the removal of accumulated toxins by binding to fat-based ama, having the power to interact with all 7 layers of the human body simultaneously, and mobilising these toxins for elimination.

Kapha Oil brings a focused action and stimulation to sites of accumulation or stagnation in the slower moving energies of the fluid and connective systems.

  • Ayurvedic Herbal Massage Balm for Kapha dosha imbalances

  • Offers a synergy of decongesting, astringent, diaphoretic and warming compounds that work transdermally to benefit every cell, organ and system.

  • For detoxification, lymph drainage and facial/sinus massage

    For Chest Rub: Massage 1/2 teaspoonful of balm directly over chest and keep warm with hot towels or hot water bottle wrapped in towel
    May also be combined with moist heat for optimal results.

    ·Other Uses: Use Kapha Balm on legs and arms following dry brush massage, especially to wake up sleepy circulation, cold extremities or as an adjunct during a detox . Also works well in Pada Abhyanga (Foot massage) and applied to the marma points of the face, scalp and temples to open up breathing passageways and sinus congestion.
    For some, a tiny amount applied with Q Tip may be beneficial as a nasal lubrication and barrier against airborne pathogens.
