WHAT IS AYURVEDIC HEAD + FOOT MASSAGE ?

This training: Ayurvedic Head + Foot Massage
(*formerly called “Polarity Champissage”)

is an energy healing and massage method informed and inspired through the lens of Ayurvedic Rejuvenation + Bliss Therapies

It is restorative, in ways similar to deep meditation.

You will gain a clear understanding of

• The concept that, underlying the healthy functioning of the nervous system as well as all organs is a vital, universal life energy.

• That this vital energy force flows through subtle unseen channels, and, knowledge of how these subtle channels operate will increase the effectiveness of your services, no matter what your current practice is

• Ways the nervous system communicates through sensory inputs, co-ordinating perception and responses. Healing depends on the perception of safe neural signaling.

• Creating a balanced, safe, soothing energy container for your clients within every treatment is the best baseline you can hold in your practice.
  
  What you will learn is a complete, stand alone service.
  It can also be seamlessly integrated into services you currently provide:

EXAMPLE 1:
ADDING AYURVEDIC HEAD + FOOT MASSAGE TO YOUR FACIAL SERVICES:
The reflexive connections in the facial marma pointwork provides a deeper rest-and-repair condition, strengthening the skin repair process. The foot marma reflexology segment redirects overstimulation in the brain and motor centers, providing a calm and grounded state.

EXAMPLE 2:
ADDING AYURVEDIC HEAD + FOOT MASSAGE TO YOUR MASSAGE THERAPY SESSIONS:
In this course, you will practice and experience the impact of starting each session with “Chakra Abhyanga”, a specific massage technique applied with warm herbal oil balm along the spine in correlation to chakra alignment.
This profoundly sets the energetic tone to your massage treatment, while allowing for deeper manual therapies to follow.
The central piece of the Ayurvedic Head + Foot massage techniques blended into your Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pain relieving or other massage focus, activates and enhances any massage treatment.

ADDED TO YOUR ENERGY WORK SESSIONS:
this touch therapy embodies Patanjali's Yoga Sutra 2:
"Yogas citta vritti nirodhah"

in other words:
"Healing (Yoga) is possible when the rising, whirling impressions of mind are still".

Your work will assist in accessing nirodhah, so that subtler frequencies may expand and strengthen

Over the course of 3 days in this immersive retreat-like training, you will learn how

• touch activation of marma points

• whole body polarity energetics

• herbalised oils + steam compresses

• chakra abhyanga massage

• face massage

• head massage

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
Ayurvedic Head + Foot massage focuses on integrating a full spectrum of hand skills.
Hand skills in this practice do not require physical strength.

As a participant in this trainng, you will receive the work.
You will experience how the hand skills in this work are capable of initiating many types of activations to:

  Training provides ample time to learn, Step—by—Step, the complete Ayurvedic Head + Foot massage protocol.
  Various learning methods are employed: lecture + demonstration, supervised hands-on dyad practice, Q &A

This training is product agnostic / not promotional of any particular product line.

TRAINING SCHEDULE
3 Days 18 ceu NCBTMB
Time: 10 - 4
(6 classroom hours daily)

Day 1 will cover the opening polarity sequence done along the spine, plus the application of the steam compress.
After our lunch, the afternoon session will introduce the head marmas.
This day is 90% hands-on. You will give and receive.

Day 2 will continue the head, neck, facial sequences
After our lunch the afternoon session will introduce the hand and foot marmas
This day is 90% hands-on. You will give and receive.

Day 3 morning will practice the hand + feet sequences, which are fairly brief
After lunch each pair of students will have the time to perform a full Ayurvedic Head + Foot massage.

NOTE: This training has been, in the past, called Polarity Champissage. While Ayurvedic Head + Foot Massage Training definitely incorporates Polarity AND Champissage (Indian Head Massage), in order for it to be recognised as, and provide ceu’s from the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) continuing education program, it had to be renamed. The content of the course has not changed, even though it’s title has.

CEU’s are granted to LMT’s only.
A paper copy “Certificate” of Completion is given to all participants who attend all portions of the course and complete a written exam.

The written exam may be completed in class before leaving, or, taken home as a home study piece,with your certificate being mailed to you upon receipt of written exam within 30 days of class.
